Our Story
Named after our son. Built for businesses like yours.
Arielle Rumsey founded Hudson North in 2025. The studio is the answer to a problem she'd watched from the operator's side for years: excellent small businesses getting overlooked online because their digital presence didn't match the quality of their work.
Arielle runs the studio. Her husband Josh, drawing on a career in operations, sales leadership, and high-end hospitality, brings the operational discipline and client-facing experience to every engagement.
We're a woman-owned studio based in California, working with small businesses nationwide. Every website we build includes professional copywriting, because a great-looking site with weak copy is still a missed opportunity.

Templates are a ceiling.
A template tells every visitor who sees it that you didn't think the investment was worth it. We build from scratch because your business is not like anyone else's. Templates are how you look identical to the four competitors who bought the same one.
Speed is a feature.
A beautiful site that loads slowly is a broken site. Performance is non-negotiable on every build. The first second a visitor spends on your page decides whether they get to see the second.
